Visited Dibble school’s OERB STEM night with the Blanchard Level Ups 10368. We used FLL and FTC demos to encourage engagement with FIRST within their local community.
Set up a team booth for our high school's spring festival to expand the team, raise money for our team, and grow awareness of FIRST. We gained 3 new members.
Set up an interactive walk-through exhibit in our high school gym to engage the community with FIRST and expand the team. At this event, we gained 1 new member.
Went to Bricksville, a Lego resale store, to mentor kids from the local community and teach them and their parents about FLL and FIRST as a whole.
Hosted introductory classes to Onshape and Road Runner, both industry standards to strive for, to promote the accessibility of these tools within the FIRST community.
Attended Tinkerfest at Science Museum Oklahoma to compete in scrimmages and designed activities to engage the public and teach them about FIRST.
Competed in scrimmages and continued to connect with our mentees, 26949, while also pinpointing weaknesses to further iterate and improve on our robot.
We reached out to OERB to host a community STEM Night at our high school. We contacted multiple other FTC teams to collaboratively spread FIRST and STEM to our community.
We supported our middle school FLL teams, 20484 Mechanical Monkeys and 63832 Dynamic Pulse by:
Paying their state registration fee.
Helping to set up their field.
Starting a mentorship with them where a team member assists in their class.
This year we had the privilege of beginning a mentorship with rookie team 26949 Royal Society of Robotics (R.S.R.)
Met them at the first league meet, and have mentored since.
We have weekly collaboration sessions.
We guided them through implementing new and innovative tools for their team, such as Road Runner, Android Studio, and Java.
While Royals already used an active intake, we helped to improve their design with our previous experience.
We provided our previous portfolios as inspiration in addition to the resources, assistance, and experience we could provide.
We shared many Little Caesar's pizzas and made new friends-thanks Royals!
